China Mosaic Tray Workshop Sunday August 25th 1-3pm
Kintsugi is the art of golden joinery, in which broken objects – usually ceramics – are mended with gold-dusted lacquer. Kintsugi's exact origins are unknown, but some historians date it as far back as the late 15th century
Pick from a variety of broken China pieces and tiles. Feel free to bring some of your own China pieces to break and use. We will provide and orient you with tools to break into smaller pieces.
You can keep your grout white or cover it with gold. Handles are optional but included in the provided class materials. You will need to leave your tray at the studio to be grouted and handles installed.
